Special education services are provided at the Elementary, Middle and High School levels. Students can receive a variety of services including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, and academic support. Students ages three to twenty-one can be given services by the district. Only students who are classified can receive services. Currently there are 184 CSE classified students, and 17 CPSE (pre-school) classified students in the district. Additionally, there are seventeen students who receive services outside of the district at TST BOCES, George Junior Republic, and other facilities. Teachers and parents can refer students for services, which are evaluated on a yearly basis at Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings.

The role of support specialists is varied. Teachers push into classrooms, have small specialized classrooms and co-teach with other teachers to support students. Students who attend Study Center can receive assistance in writing, reading, mathematics, content area material and study skills. There are six support specialists in the elementary school, six in the middle schools and five at the high school as well as eleven aides and four teaching assistants district wide.
